Marked Soul

So easily our heart can become corrupt. 

Jesus I’ve been falling, as I always seem to do. Jesus there’s more important things than the things I choose to do. Give me your will, give me your desire. Presently a spark, but I need your fire. Close my eyes and open my mind, these things in my life will not surpass time. I pray these words with a confident tone that you, yourself can lead me home.

You’re trying too hard to do it on your own.

I find myself wanting to skip all the planning and calculating and jump into the mission. Except Jesus knows that the planning is the birth of our relationship and the calculating is the moments of strife we overcome by letting Him bear the weight. 

So for the last past month my friend Steven and I have been wanting to see this movie called Chronicle. I don’t know much about it other then it looks like a few kids in the movie use “the force”. The movie came out at 12:01 in theaters around the country. So Steven and I hit up a couple of friends to journey with us to the midnight release. Once arriving at the theater we buy some snacks and get snug in our seats. The clock is at 11:59 and we’re all ready for the trailers and movie. Slowly the clock moves to 12:04 nothing going on yet. Eventually after another ten minutes pass by a man comes into the theater and announces in a chilling voice that there is technical difficulty and they are doing their best to assess the situation. Another 15 minutes roll by. This time a manager walks in and informs us that the movie may not even show tonight. So we all go home with rain checks and broken plans. 

Lets be honest. Stuck in a rut.
